Discuss a project

A new club, no blind spots: a dossier and press digest.

An attacking midfielder moved from a Russian Premier League club to a Turkish Süper Lig side playing in the Champions League. We built a dossier on the entire new squad and launched a weekly media digest in Russian that publishes itself — no human involved.

An open dossier, a football and a stone tile with a team formation

The brief.

A new country, a new language, a new dressing room, and a press that writes about the player in Turkish every day. The project was there to help him settle faster, and the job split in two:

  1. Know the team: who's who, who plays where, who the direct competitors for a place are, what to talk about with whom, and which topics to avoid.
  2. Know what's being written: a short, honest weekly summary of the Turkish press, in Russian.

The client's condition: verifiable public information only, and no guesswork about real people.

What we did.

A dossier on the new squad

  • 31 profiles — the whole season's squad — written from an attacking midfielder's point of view: for each player it's clear whether he's a link-up partner, a rival for the position, or someone in another line.
  • Each profile has position, number, nationality, a playing profile — role, strengths, stronger foot — a photo on a branded background, and a "Don't bring up" block limited to publicly known topics.
  • Young academy players are flagged as low-confidence, with a "Judge for yourself" note.
  • 4 formats from one source: a 41-slide deck at 1920×1080, a document for reading and editing, and two PDFs for phone and print.
  • A handover package: any future contractor can rebuild the dossier.

A weekly media digest

  • Every Monday at 09:00, an issue covering the previous week: a summary in Russian, a 0–100 press sentiment score with what raised and lowered it, the top 3 stories with translation and a link to the source, and a look ahead.
  • Sources: Turkish and English-language media.
  • Three channels: an archive page at a permanent address, a mobile-friendly email, and an A4 PDF.

Nine steps, no human.

A scheduled Claude session starts up: sets the period → searches publications and opens the sources → writes the issue → saves it with structured data → rebuilds the archive → publishes only the files that changed → checks every file byte by byte → sends the email → prepares the PDF. That evening a backup run checks everything went out and completes only the steps that were missed.

The weekly digest process. The dotted outline is what the backup run covers.

The results in figures.

31
profiles — the whole season's squad
41
dossier slides, 4 formats from one source
9
digest issues in a row, none missed
0
manual steps per issue
−70%
weekly publishing volume after switching to incremental builds
84 → 88
press sentiment after the first league start

Only what can be verified.

  • No invented facts about real people. No data — and it says so.
  • Every digest fact links to its source, with the original headline and date.
  • Every score is explained: what raised it and what lowered it.
  • Checked by eye before sending: every PDF is rendered and reviewed; the page is checked for availability and correct Cyrillic.

What went wrong — and how we fixed it.

  • The archive grew with every issue until it no longer fitted in one publish — we switched to incremental builds: older parts are frozen, only 2 files go out each week.
  • Typos in Cyrillic and Turkish diacritics are invisible to the eye — byte-level checks of every file have already caught two.
  • A run can be cut short by usage limits — the evening backup run finishes the issue the same day.

What's next.

Both products are now templates: a different player, club or language means new inputs, not new development. The same approach suits agents, clubs and press offices: a dossier at transfer time and press monitoring for the season.
